Vidar Strand is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience in the subsea industry. With a strong background in engineering, Vidar has used much of his career in pushing the boundaries of subsea technology and driving innovation in offshore energy exploration. Vidar’s journey in the industry began with a focus on subsea wellheads, where he gained invaluable expertise in the intricacies of underwater drilling operations. Over the years, he expanded his scope to include subsea production systems, further solidifying his technical understanding in the field. Prior to his current role at Neodrill, Vidar held key sales positions at industry giants such as GE Oil & Gas and Baker Hughes. His tenure at these companies provided him with a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in subsea. Today, Vidar is at the forefront of evolving the subsea CAN (Conductor Anchor Node) technology at Neodrill. With a focus on enhancing efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability in offshore drilling operations, Vidar is, together with his colleagues at Neodrill, driving forward-thinking solutions that are reshaping the future of the industry. Outside of his professional endeavours, Vidar is passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers and fostering collaboration within the industry though his engagement at Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
