Beatriz Alonso Castro is a Facilities Project Senior Engineer at Repsol with a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Beatriz has managed numerous high-profile projects, including the conceptual engineering for the Mexico Block 29 Offshore field development, the design, fabrication, and installation of a heavy lift subsea structure for the redevelopment of the Yme brownfield in Norway, and the pioneering removal of a MOPU unit in Norway using the single-lift method in 2016. Her expertise spans project management, technical coordination, and strategic planning, ensuring the successful execution of initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. Beatriz has also worked on subsea tie-back projects during the FEED stages, where she was responsible for field layout, spools detail design, and offshore operations. Additionally, she has experience in offshore preparations, offshore installation, diving operations, and engineering at various project stages, from visualization to detailed engineering, for offshore fields at different asset life stages, including exploration, development, and decommissioning.
