Budi has 21 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, progressing from Surveillance and Reservoir Engineer positions to leading Petroleum and Subsurface teams globally, particularly in Malaysia, Canada, Australia, Mauritania, Oman and Argentina. His expertise spans both conventional and unconventional oil and gas, including shale gas and coal bed methane. Budi is highly experienced in Upstream technical aspects, technology implementation, production improvement, stakeholders’ management and business operations. This includes spearheading Improved and Enhanced Oil Recovery projects, overseen the full cycle of Upstream activities, from Exploration to Abandonment with given role as Head of Technical Manager, Special Project Head and JV Manager, Head of Surveillance in Sarawak Assets and Head of Technology Advisory Operations of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd. Currently, Budi serves as the General Manager of Resource Development & Management for Sabah Assets at Malaysia Petroleum Management, PETRONAS.
