With over 20 years of experience in offshore engineering, Danilo Machado is a civil engineer with both master’s and doctorate degrees in offshore engineering. He is a specialist in subsea engineering, riser and pipeline systems, and has successfully led multidisciplinary project teams for more than a decade. Danilo’s expertise spans technology qualification, design verification, and joint industry projects (JIPs). 

Throughout his career, he has played a key role in numerous design verification projects for offshore pipeline and riser systems, as well as led relevant JIPs. Danilo is known for driving innovation by leading projects focused on the qualification of new technologies, concepts, and solutions across various industry sectors. Since joining DNV in 2008, he has advanced to the position of Principal Project Manager in the Offshore, Midstream, and Downstream (OMD) Energy Systems division in Southern Europe.
