Grant McKenzie is currently Vice President of Developments within the Technical & Energy Development group at Woodside Energy.

Specializing in deepwater conceptual/development planning and project execution, Grant’s primary focus in his current role is on commercialization of resources for the global Woodside portfolio through to final investment decisioning.

Previously Grant was the Director of Pre-Developments for BHP’s Petroleum business overseeing worldwide opportunities for appraisal and pre-sanction opportunities.

Prior to BHP, Grant spent 7 years with Hess Corporation working on Exploration, Appraisal and Development opportunities worldwide. Prior to Hess, Grant spent 6 years with BG Group, primarily based in London but also having spells working and living overseas in Rio, Stavanger, Cairo and Port of Spain. Grant’s earlier experience also covers time spent at Genesis Consultants and KBR.

Grant holds a Bachelor Engineering (Hons) in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

Grant currently lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and daughter.
